Lori A. Knudson joined Upward Architects in 2017 as a project architect and has over 16 years of design experience in education, healthcare, retail, religious, hospitality, sports and office projects.

After working at architectural firms in Minnesota and North Dakota, Lori relocated to Arizona to accept the challenge of designing for the desert climate… and to enjoy the sunshine. Lori is a licensed architect with Bachelor’s Degrees in Architecture, Environmental Design and Fine Art from North Dakota State University.

Her dedicated involvement through all stages of the project allows her to serve clients from entitlement through construction completion, while partnering with them to deliver projects that meet their expectations and vision.

Lori is an avid oil painter and photographer, both of which inspired her to pursue a career in design.
